I usually go here around 3 or 4 pm on the weekdays so I get the whole place to myself. I love the pho here. Best pho I've had here in EP ever. They are a little place so you might miss them if you're driving around but you gotta stop here and try their pho. It's excellent!

Small place but packs a punch with their extensive menu! Taste of Asia is the only restaurant that has great home made Pho in the outer burbs without driving 30 minutes. Although it is attached to the Holiday Gas station, it's got it's own working system. The owners are super friendly and the restaurant is super clean. The only thing that gets me is that you have to unlock the door that leads you into the restrooms inside the gas station...otherwise, this place is a must try!

The not-so-good: the fried egg rolls were not my style - small, too crispy, not a lot of taste. The really good: the pho was excellent. I had the combo beef and meatball. Number 15 or 16 I think. As good as Quang (which is my favorite). Go here for the pho and you will be happy. Huge bowl for 8 bucks. Very nice servers, too.

Good food overall and the staff was kind. This restaurant definitely has some potential--pho had rich flavor and included enough meat. But the soup was a bit sweet and their spring roll was a bit boring. The peanut sauce wasn't impressive. Having said these, not bad food. Just not the best.

A strong 3 *s for the lunch buffet. The Curry Noodles and Vietnamese Spicy Chicken we pretty good. Most of the other options were overly oily and/or very sweet. The wonton soup was good, but I did need to add some more salt to it using some soy sauce.

I had Bun (Vermicelli salad) for take out and it was tasty and a large portion. The egg roll could have had more stuff inside like carrots, vermicelli, and more pork. The fish sauce could also have been a little saltier and sweeter. Everything was fresh and I liked that they added mint leaves. The tri color drink (Che Ba Mau) was also tasty. I'd go back.

I generally make a habit of avoiding outer suburban asian food. After being disapointed by so many places over the years I feel I know exactly what to expect: Pandas on the wall, weird asian muzak covers of increasingly odd songs, and usaully a fat family with crumby kids eating all the crab legs from the buffet. Taste of Asia only had the Pandas. The menu is...basic. All the usual fried eggrolls and wontons, sesames chicken and egg drop soup. The food quality was a little better then average, with the veggies in entrees containing a mix of them being for the most part crisp and flavorful. There were a couple of stand-outs worth note: I usually don't see such strongly seasoned curry noodles outside the city, (Yum!) and the vietnamese spicy chicken had a wonderful flavor and TONS of snappy onion slivers floating around on it. All in all, it is what you'd expect, but done mighty fine. The service is what makes this place a strong three stars. From the moment I walked in till the time I left, the wait staff was attentive and suggestive of food pairings. My water was always full, and at one point they even brought me a fresh little cup of eggroll dip, complete with the few drops of chilli oil I put in mine. Obviously they noticed how I liked it and did the same for me without asking. THAT is cool. If you're looking for a quick bite for a very small price, and you're not feeling particularly adventurous, try this place and you won't be dissapointed. Anything beyond that and it's...well...frankly just about as much like the next place as you can get. Not enough to change my idea of asian food outside the city, but enough to ward off regret.

I was VERY surprised at how good this place was. It's connected to a gas station and super busy at lunch time. Next time, I'll get to-go. -#5 pho, basically a pho dac biet. Huge portion, $8.50, very flavorful broth, I could taste the star anise. -Also tried my friend's BBH, spring rolls and shrimp eggrolls. Apps were good, but not amazing. BBH was great as well, again a huge bowl, plenty of noodles and generous fresh fixings. I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to pho, but this place really impressed me. Buffets aren't my thing, but their setup for lunch looked abundant and clean, many other guests were enjoying that for lunch.

I came here during lunch hour & tried their spring rolls and #4 pho which included steak, flank & tripe. FOOD NOTES: -Spring Rolls: Fresh & delicious. Comes w/ shrimp, lettuce, meat & vermicelli noodles. Dipping was tasty as well! -PHO: Probably one of the best pho's I've ever had. I am really picky when it comes to pho & theirs is definitely the closest to how my mom would cook it for my family and I. The broth was so delicious and not watery compared to some other Vietnamese joints that makes their pho. You can definitely taste the star anise & all the flavors they put in their broth. In addition, it comes right away with a big plate of veggies that you can add to your bowl of pho. CON: -Very busy during lunch & the restaurant is pretty small so wait time can take about 15-20 minutes for you to get seated. I'd definitely try this place again but I'd probably do take-out next time.

Not impressed. Egg roll salad is subpar and it's hard to mess up egg roll salad. Their egg roll salad sauce is way too fishy. Would not come back again.

The pho is pretty good here. It'll be boiling hot but it's good. It's one of the better pho places on the west side of the twin cities. My wife loves to sip on the pho broth. I remember one time when half of her broth was gone before adding anything into the bowl. The pho broth has a sweetness to it whereas other places are salty. Even though we're used to the salty broth, the sweetness is something different than what other places has to offer. Although there isn't much to select from the buffet, I will have to say that it is very flavorful and fulfilling. Try the Vietnamese Eggrolls and wonton soup. It's pretty delicious. They can get crazy busy during rush hour but I recommend coming here.

I accidentally found this place while looking for a Chinese restaurant nearby. I always complained to my wife that we could never find a place nearby to eat Pho. Always had to drive to Eat Street. Not anymore. The broth is delicious. I tried the Pho 75. The portion is generous for a meal under 8.00. You'd think this was a hole in a wall judging from the fact that they share parking with a gas station. However, the inside is inviting and clean. I can't say much about the service because we only order take out. Also, we only ordered the Pho. I'd say they make the best Pho in Eden Prairie. Give it a shot. Don't let the location fool you. They make good Pho. It's even more delicious during Minnesota winters!

The only reason this place gets 2 stars and not one is because the decor is nice. Got sick from it. Very old greens and sprouts were brown. Soup broth tasted like it was from a mix- as did the coffee. Didn't finish my meal. Seemed like the owners could have cared less about the food. Buffet looked like it had been sitting around a while. Gross!

Why do I always find my favorite places next to gas stations?! Aside from that, Taste of Asia is actually a nice little find in Eden Prairie. My co-worker and I have been searching for a pho place to add to our lunch rotation, and we've finally found it! It's a small place next to a Holiday station, so there's somewhat limited parking and looks like it gets pretty full during lunch. There's a lunch buffet available, which appears to have the typical orange chicken-type of entrees. However, I'll be back purely for the 15+ pho options available, plus the rest of their extensive menu including noodle soups, rice dishes, and more. So far, we've tried the #8 (classic beef pho) and #16 (beef and meatball pho), both of which have been great. As Chris W. mentioned, their pho broth has a great star anise flavor, and you get plenty of bean sprouts, basil, etc. with each order! The spring rolls left a little to be desired though, so I think we'll skip that in the future. We usually get our orders to go, and I love that the pho portions are huge - for just $7.95, my co-worker and I can split an order, or I have plenty for leftovers on my own!

Surprise! Decent Asian food in a strip mall? Yes, it's possible. In fact, it seems like Eden Prairie has a thing for great joints in strip malls like: Teque Arepas, Aurelia's and now Taste of Asia. This place bills itself as Asian, but it's really Vietnamese and Chinese. I went for the Rice vermicelli salad with marinated pork and egg rolls. Very tasty though I think on my next visit I'll have to opt for the Pho which everyone raves about. The rest of the family went for Chinese. We had the appetizer platter, pork fried rice, chicken lo mein, sweet and sour chicken and shrimp. The appetizer platter was very good. Kids loved the wontons and shrimp. My hubby loved the fried chicken and egg rolls. The fried rice was good, but the lo mein was terrific. The only slight disappointment was the sweet and sour chicken. It was a bit on the dry side. They have take out and a $7.95 lunch buffet during the week that would definitely be worth a look see. We will be back!

This place is in a little strip mall next to a gas station and Sarpinos Pizza in EP. The atmosphere is fun in its own way. The service is very good, friendly staff. They also offer a lunch buffet for $7.45. The food is pretty good, even though I havent had any of the soups yet. I will come back in the fall and try them for sure. Huge selection on the menu!! We tried the two kinds of spring rolls, which were a bit on the dry side and the orange chicken and tangerine beef. Both tasted great but were swimming in sauce...less would be more in this case. Very affordable.

Having had the Pho here a few times now, it's growing on me. I guess the black licorice taste is from the Star Anise and it's supposed to be there in traditional Vietnamese pho - the places that don't have it are actually a bit more bland. I've grown to like it a lot. The lunch buffet is also quite nice. Very tasty with good variety, and only $7.45 for all you can eat. I think this is going to be my west metro Vietnamese hangout after all. It's the best I've found!

Review is for their Vietnamese dishes on the menu not for the lunch buffet or regular Americanized Chinese dishes that are common just about anywhere, orange ... ,kung pao ...etc. Noodle soup choices are excellent. The thin rice noodle salad choices are good as well. They have really good Vietnamese food and it's a great pleasure eating authentic and tasty food. I will continue to bring my coworkers and we'll stick to the menu. There is nothing wrong about the lunch buffet, all items are very familiar to the westerners. I really think their Vietnamese food is a real gem here, easily compete with restaurants in Eat Street area in Minneapolis. I'm a fan and will return shortly.

I've had take out here and I've actually sat down and ate here too Take out: the man who took our order was very helpful. he suggested a couple dishes off the 'new menu' when we asked him what is popular. When asked for a take home menu, he was honest and said its still at the printer as the old menu is out dated. We instead reviewed the picture menu on the wall. We ordered and waited 10 mins. I really enjoyed their combination pho and my husband had the spicy noodles which he said was great. We enjoyed it so much that we came back again. Dine in: they have a very small buffet that is only served during lunch. It's next to their only TV. The place prob fits a good 20 max. So I'm guessing lunch can be rather busy. It's a very sterile environment. Chairs and decor reminds me of an old dentist office. I ordered the pho again. It comes with everything I would expect pho to come with. They have condiments laid out on the side. Overall, I'm definitely happy to know that this place exist in EP given the lack of southeast asian options in the suburbs. The place is a whole in the wall location next to the BP gas station off ValleyView. Dont expect anything fancy. Id recommend take out over dining in.

I moved from San Jose, CA last year and I've been in search of a good pho place. I was so happy to find this hole-in-the-wall place. First sign of a good authentic Vietnamese food in MN is that they did NOT have sweet and sour chicken. Seriously, what's with the Vietnamese and Thai places with sweet and sour chicken on their menu? We tried the beef pho and grilled pork vermicelli. They were both nothing short of San Jose pho places! Can't wait to try some other items in the menu next time. As for the buffet, it looked ok, but I'm here for some real Vietnamese food. Edit: They DO have sweet and sour chicken. :( Also, tried some other dishes, such as chick pho and spicy chicken. In both dishes the chicken is very dry. It seems like the chicken was cooked a while ago and just hydrated. Downgrading the rating a notch. Still best Pho in Eden Prairie.

This place does a surprisingly good job considering it is next to a gas station. Due to the location you don't expect much but fellow yelpers are right, it is a good stop. The pho has great flavored broth and all the fixings to go with it. Their lunch buffet is not too bad either, the kung poa chicken is really delicious! I would definitely recommend a visit!

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

(4)Lonnie Z.
(4)David A.
Good food overall and the staff was kind. This restaurant definitely has some potential--pho had rich flavor and included enough meat. But the soup was a bit sweet and their spring roll was a bit boring. The peanut sauce wasn't impressive. Having said these, not bad food. Just not the best.
(3)Tammy S.
Delicious!!! Very fresh, large/family style portions, and inexpensive! We found this place last week and have already ate here twice.
(5)Brian S.
A strong 3 *s for the lunch buffet. The Curry Noodles and Vietnamese Spicy Chicken we pretty good. Most of the other options were overly oily and/or very sweet. The wonton soup was good, but I did need to add some more salt to it using some soy sauce.
(3)S Y.

(4)Mary V.

(4)Hale L.
(4)Shanon D.

(4)Anna B.
(3)Chris W.
(4)Kimi R.

(4)Jocelyn G.
Oh dear. The restaurant is attached to a gas station. Take out might be good, but we had pho. One pho had "pigs feet" which looked like balogna, with spaghetti pasta and orange oil. Not a good way to impress an out of town guest :(
(1)Chris Z.
The Pho was absolutely fantastic, as was the tangerine beef. Wow! What a strange place to find a "go-to" restaurant!!

(3)Lindsey W.
